Test Plan Status Update:
- Communicated status of Test Plan revision in work given updated production flight hardware, fitting geometry, and new fitting testing
- Next step of action after test plan is complete is to work on test procedure for respective fittings
- Keeping open line of communication between Structural Engineering regarding technical requirement definition and test plan implementation
Staff Meeting:
- Attended a staff meeting regarding the structural testing team regarding general testing of aircraft components
Manufacturing Engineering Support:
- Provided some Manufacturing Engineering support given manufacturing info / processes based on technical drawing of tube
Technical Conflict – Taking over as RTE of Fitting Static Testing as a Manufacturing Engineer / Product Design Engineer
- Challenges included:
- Familiaring self with newer standards, new manufacturing techniques, structures testing principles
- Working with supply chain and manufacturing to design and fabricate a self reacting test structure
- Writing test plans and procedures (with no prior experience) – integrating things like Instrumentation (LCS/DAS, Load Cells, LVDTs, SGs, Moog Controllers), Hydraulics (Cylinders & Actuators ~100 Kips)
- Writing respective test and assembly work instructions to ensure DFM regarding test assembly and flight assembly
- Working with Structural Engineering to meet challenging testing requirements for military aircraft
